Our Mission

Establishing an ambitious and innovative collaboration and teaching between researchers from different disciplines to comprehensively address the fundamental questions about life and advance our understanding of the processes that led to the emergence of life.

Our Vision

Bringing together researchers from different disciplines who share a common scientific vision, to address our scientific objectives:

1. Investigating processes that generate the molecular building blocks for life and drive the transition to emergent biological entities
2. Quantifying the capability of planetary environments to meet, maintain and diversify conditions for complex life and how life shapes planetary environments
3. Characterising the diversity of planetary environments and their ability to host life
4. Investigating non-standard life and life in extreme environments
